One day, three stops, no rush
We collect you from your accommodation in Kiruna and drive west along Torneträsk, one of Sweden's largest and deepest lakes, into Abisko National Park.
About 4 km of walking in total, on paths and boardwalks. Coffee from the rucksack, a warm lunch buffet at STF Abisko, and a short film of your day sent to you afterwards.

Bessesjohka sand flats
A short walk through the birch brings you out onto sand and shallow pools on the edge of Torneträsk, with the mountains across the water. Coffee, tea and cookies from the rucksack.
68.30321° N · 19.23088° EAbisko Gorge
An hour in the canyon of the Abiskojåkka river. Boardwalk, footbridge and the water below. In November the sun stays low over the mountains, so we come here in the brightest part of the day.
68.35939° N · 18.77633° ELunch at STF Abisko
The lunch buffet at Restaurang Kungsleden, a short walk from the gorge. Warm, indoors, and included in your day.
Silverfallet
The Silver Falls drop into a narrow canyon. We arrive in the last of the winter light, when the low sun catches the falling water. The path down is steep, so crampons and poles come for everyone.

We leave Silverfallet at 14:00 and drive home along the lake.
This is the November day, timed to the short daylight before the snow arrives. From May to October the day starts at 10:00 with a hot lunch outdoors. The order of stops may change with the weather on the day.
Your day on film
Your guide films three moments: the sand flats, the gorge bridge and the falls. You get a film of 60–90 seconds and your photos by link within 48 hours.

info@snowdog.seQuestions
How much walking is there?
Around 4 km in total, spread across three stops, on paths and boardwalks. Most of it is easy. The path down at Silverfallet is steep and can be slippery, which is why we bring crampons and walking poles for everyone.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, from age 6. It is a long day, about seven hours, with time in the vehicle between stops, so it suits children who are happy in the car and on a walk.
What if the weather is bad?
We go in most weather, and Abisko is often brighter than Kiruna. If a stop is unsafe we change the order or swap it for a sheltered place nearby.
What is for lunch?
In November we eat at the lunch buffet at STF Abisko, warm and indoors. Coffee, tea and cookies come with us through the day. Tell us about any dietary needs when you book.
Do I need special clothing?
Bring a waterproof jacket, warm layers, hat and gloves and boots with good grip. Mountain weather changes quickly, even in summer. Outdoor clothing is not included on this tour.
How do I get my film?
Your guide sends a link within 48 hours with your film and photos.
Where do you pick up?
From your accommodation, anywhere in Kiruna.
